  10.           +o Certain DOS-based applications that make use of non-
  11.             standard file locking mechanisms may not work properly.
  12.             Specifically, programs that rely only on the DOS SHARE
  13.             program or on non-standard file attributes (like SYSTEM
  14.             and HIDDEN) on the DOS side.

  16.           +o If you are using Sun's PC-NFS client, you may be unable
  17.             to print from Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0.  This is
  18.             a known problem with Word and PC-NFS; Microsoft's WEB
  19.             site (www.microsoft.com) has a detailed description of
  20.             the problem and a work-around; look for article Q110008
  21.             in Microsoft's Knowledge Base. Here's a summary of how
  22.             to fix the problem:

  24.             In Windows 3.1, run the Print Manager, choose Network
  25.             Settings from the Options menu and clear the Print Net
  26.             Jobs Direct check box and click OK.  Choose Printer
  27.             Setup from the Options menu, choose the Connect button,
  28.             clear the Fast Printing Direct To Port check box and
  29.             click OK.  Restart Word, and you should now be able to
  30.             print to a pcnfsd printer.

  32.           +o PC-NFS clients must be able to NFS-mount
  33.             /var/spool/pcnfs in order to print via pcnfsd. Hence,
  34.             printing problems may be caused by access controls on
  35.             mount points. For example, if you have the following
  36.             line in your /_e_t_c/_e_x_p_o_r_t_s file:

  40.             only the host named compaq will be able to print via
  41.             pcnfsd.
